How do you stop rust on steel pipes at the border?
We apply thick epoxy coating yearly on exposed sections. First we remove surface rust with a wire brush, then spray epoxy with a pressure gun. This layer protects metal from salt and sand for a full year.
Do border pump stations need special electrical checks?
Yes, we check earthing wires monthly because salt weakens connections. We disassemble contact heads and clean them with a small brush. If we find pitting we replace contacts with higher-purity copper ones.
