Can chamber joints be sealed without completely emptying the pit?
Partially only; we lower the liquid level below the joint and inject sealant. But for complete inspection and thorough treatment the pit must be fully emptied.
Why do chamber joints leak more than pit walls?
Horizontal joints collect sediment and solids that press and crack them. Vertical walls drain naturally and remain less prone to leakage.
