Is the new cover stronger than the old sunken one?
Yes, the new cover is heavier grade and weighs more, and the frame below it has been cleaned and relevelled. The base is now solid cement bed instead of the old weak sand foundation.
Could the new cover sink again after a year or two?
If the bed is solid and the seal is tight and the pipes below are sound, it should not sink. We test water pressure and check the frame for cracks before handing over.
