Bnaidar has isolated houses on dry sandy desert land, with pits deeper than Julaiaa and Dabaiya. Each pit may be 5 or 6 metres, and the base is fine sand that can clog the hose. We sometimes use a long cleaning stick to open channels before suction. Distance from sandy track to house may be 100 metres or more, so we need a very long hose or a truck position allowing slow careful driving.

Can the truck reach the house in Bnaidar?
If the track is fairly solid sand we get very close to the house. Sometimes we park the truck far back and push a 50 or 60-metre hose across sand. Dry weather helps because the sand is harder.
What happens if the hose clogs with sand during pumping?
We stop pumping and lift the hose and open the top to push out the sand. Some Bnaidar pits need this once or twice during one pumping session. We wait and return the hose immediately after clearing.
