Does groundwater fill the pit from underneath?
If groundwater sits close to the pit base, yes it will seep in slowly over weeks. We measure water depth first, and if it is deep enough annual suction suffices. If it is too close you may need pumping every three months.
Can groundwater leak into the house through the foundation?
