What sets this area apart
Mesila Resort and its broad gardens and surrounding villas overlook the sea with deep foundations and floors of complex engineered spaces. The resort's wide roof and paved gardens collect vast water volumes in short time, so we need pipes one hundred fifty millimetres bore or more. We dig collection sumps under the gardens at depth of at least two metres to avoid pooled water mixing with groundwater, then create parallel drain lines toward the agreed coastal point. In heavy rainy seasons temporary pumps run to reduce pressure on main sumps.
Mesila is in Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorate, a coastal area where Green Island sits nearby and groundwater lies very close to ground level.
Before starting excavation we sample soil and groundwater to find the safe depth for sumps without striking salty groundwater.

Does resort runoff affect the seawater and Green Island nearby?
Water from roofs and gardens is clean and contains no chemicals, we direct it to the sea at a municipality-approved point away from the shore and island. Discharge disperses quickly in deeper seawater.
Do we need permanent pumps to empty sumps in winter?
Mesila does not need permanent pumps because Kuwaiti rains are brief, but we recommend portable pumps activated by hand during heavy rain if sump water rises. The resort has staff to run them as needed.
