Can we add a cold water point in the bedroom later?
Yes, we leave a spare PEX tube sealed in the floor running from the main bathroom to the bedroom. When needed, we connect the spare tube to a new outlet and test pressure before opening the tap.
Is PEX safe for both cold and hot water in the same system?
We use PEX for cold water only in most homes. For hot water we use treated copper or heat-rated PEX resistant to 85°C, and we never mix them in the same trench.
