Why do we need a collecting pit before the long street line?
The pit collects all house waste at one point and gives sediment and grease time to settle before entering the street line. This prevents blockage of the long run and makes future cleaning easy from inside the pit.
Can drain pipes run above ground in my garden instead of being buried?
