Must we remove the old drain pipe from under the tile?
No, we leave it if sound. We run a new pipe beside it from the cabin to the trap. We may need to cut a narrow channel in the tile to pass the new pipe.
What is the difference between three-quarter and one-inch drain?
One-inch carries twice the water in the same time with less pressure loss. Modern high-flow showers need one-inch to prevent pooling. We choose size based on expected shower pressure.
