Can the floor trap be moved if it is in an awkward spot?
Yes, a new waste pipe runs from the new position back to the old stack under the tiles. The chase is narrow and tiles are lifted and reset after the pipe is laid.
If the waste run is long from the toilet to the trap, does the pipe need to be wider?
Standard 110mm toilet waste pipes are adequate if the fall is correct, which is 1 to 2 centimetres per metre. Steady fall matters more than pipe width.
