Can a new pan be fitted without fully removing the old one?
In rare cases, if the vertical stack is sound and the old pan position suits the new one. We crack the cement bed around the old pan and slide it out carefully, then fit the new one. But most cases need complete removal and a fresh build.
What if the old drain is clogged with grease or sand?
We use a high-pressure pump to clean the pipe from below before fitting the new pan. If the blockage is deep in the wall, we open a side access point and clear it by hand, then flush with force to confirm clearance.
