If the tank has no inspection cover, how do you clean inside?
We use the existing pump opening in the roof or wall as an entry point. We suction out water and sludge first, then one worker enters through that opening with cleaning tools. We may need to cut part of the roof if the opening is too narrow.
Does tank cleaning remove strong chlorine smell from water?
Only partly, because chlorine is added at the treatment plant, not from the tank itself. If we apply another disinfectant the smell may increase slightly, but water becomes safe and usable. Leaving the tank open for hours after cleaning does reduce the smell.
