Will one circulation pump heat all the buildings at the same time?
If the main pipes are connected together then yes, one pump keeps hot water in continuous circulation. But if buildings are very distant we may add a second pump at a midpoint on the line.
What happens to the hot water if the pump loses power?
Hot water stays in the pipes for a while but begins losing heat gradually. We fit a non-return valve so cold water from the tank does not get drawn back into the circuit when the pump stops.
