If groundwater is very close to the pit, is waterproof coating enough?
If water touches the pit base, coating alone is not enough. We suggest a dual approach: thick epoxy paint on walls plus a flexible protective layer above to withstand water pressure from below.
Must we pump the pit empty before treatment or can we treat it while full of water?
It must be completely empty. Water prevents paint from bonding to concrete. After treatment we test it by slowly filling with water for one hour before normal use resumes.
