Does damp clay soil cause the frame to settle over time?
Yes, clay soil compacts slowly with moisture and heat. We remove weak soil around the base to 30 centimetres depth, finish with compressed sand layer then thick cement bedding to prevent future settlement.
Can we clean and reuse the old frame instead of replacing it?
