Can front and rear courtyards have separate pits or must all water go to one central pit?
If yards sit at different levels separate pits are simpler and cheaper. Each pit drains its own yard without waiting for others. If they are level we connect them with one pipe line to a central pit.
What if the rear courtyard does not slope enough for proper drainage?
We either raise the surface with fill or dig a pit below the yard's natural level. The pit collects water from the flat area, then a small pump lifts it to the main line. This avoids deep digging or heavy fill.
