Can waste pipes run on the roof slab instead of digging foundations?
Yes for upper bathrooms, but pipes must hold 1-in-100 fall and be covered or shaded from sun. In lower floors the below-slab route protects pipes from vibration and is better.
What happens if we find a leak after the walls close?
Because we test before walls close, this does not happen normally. If a leak shows later, we open the wall at the weak joint and fix the pipe and retest.
