If the new kitchen is on the second floor, how do we connect the waste to sewers below ground?
We run a 100 mm waste pipe vertically inside the wall to ground level, then horizontally under the foundations toward the main entry point. The slope on the horizontal pipe must be at least 1 cm per metre.
Do copper supply pipes under the kitchen counter need heat protection?
Yes, if there is a gas line or heater below it. We wrap copper pipes in thermal foam and keep at least 15 cm clearance from any heat source.
