Can pipes run through shared walls with neighbours?
Yes but we need written approval from the neighbour and the building. We run pipes in protected plastic ducts with acoustic wrapping and document the route on drawings for both owners. If a leak occurs later, we have clearly recorded the location.
Do upper-floor runs need extra support under the floor?
Yes. Copper pipes under floors need fixing every 60 cm to prevent sagging and noise. We use fixing clips only and do not pierce the bitumen. We test for ringing sounds after completion.
