How do we preserve the old floor if it is in good condition?
We lift the old tub carefully without disconnecting old pipes, inspect the floor beneath it, and if it is solid and dry we lay only a thin concrete base around the drain. We keep the surrounding tiles and mount the new tub at the same level.
What if the floor drain is blocked with sediment?
We open the drain and remove sediment by hand or high-pressure water jet. We check the vertical pipe below the floor to confirm no deeper blockage. Then we install the tub and the new line discharges straight into the clean drain.
