Does the base need anything special underneath?
No, but it must be perfectly level. We place a digital level under the base at several points and if we find even slight slope we fit thin metal shims under corners until perfectly straight before final tightening.
What is the difference between roof tank and pump supply?
Roof tank gives steady low pressure but may empty at night. Pump supply offers higher steady pressure but needs regular maintenance. During installation we check supply type and select a valve kit suited to the existing pressure without leaking.
