Can a new toilet connect to the same floor trap that serves the kitchen sink?
Yes, provided the existing pipe is at least 100 mm diameter and slopes steadily to the collection tank. We test with full flow from both kitchen and toilet together to confirm.
What if the floor trap is old and wet from recent rain?
We dry the trap first with a wet vacuum and inspect its walls from inside using a small camera. If there are cracks we recommend sealing the trap with a protective coat before connecting the toilet.
