How do we avoid cutting old factory pipes when digging the new waste line?
We request infrastructure maps from Ahmadi Municipality first. Then we use a metal scanner to survey the route before digging. If we find an old pipe, we stop and divert the route or raise the toilet position.
If the toilet is near a shared factory water line, is there a risk?
Yes, we must ensure the waste pipe does not run directly above or below the clean water line. We keep at least one metre horizontal separation between the two lines. Where space is tight, we use a smaller diameter waste pipe or raise the waste above the clean line by elevating the toilet pan.
