Does fibreglass welding last as long as plastic welding?
Fibreglass is naturally stronger and takes impact better than plastic. But the resin needs correct drying and must not be exposed to water in the first 48 hours.
What if the crack is next to a side connection port?
We remove the supply pipe from its socket first to allow welding pressure to enter. We block the port with a temporary plastic plug, then weld the crack. After cooling we refit the pipe carefully.
