Why does my metal tank rust so quickly?
Salt in coastal air penetrates the coating and reacts with the metal. We recommend replacing the tank with a fibreglass model or applying thick protective paint every two years with periodic hole inspection.
Is the water in my old tank safe after cleaning?
Cleaning alone is not enough because rust has left metal particles and bacteria on the walls. We empty and high-pressure wash the tank, sterilize it with chlorine solution then fill it with fresh water and run it for hours before use.
