How do we keep sand out of the kitchen supply pipes?
We use insulation sleeves round pipes and fit fine filters at tank outlet and heater inlet. Any cracked or exposed pipe outside is replaced immediately to prevent sand ingress.
Do we need a deeper sump because ground is damp?
Yes, the sump must be deeper than one metre and lined with stones for groundwater drainage. We test it by running heavy water through to confirm no backflow.
