How long can the waste pipe run before water flow weakens?
With a steady fall of two centimetres per metre, the pipe can run up to eight metres without issue. Beyond that you need a trapped vent or stepped run to redirect drainage downward.
Can the basin be mounted over an existing hot water pipe?
We do not recommend it because the hot pipe may cause thermal expansion under the wall and crack the plaster. We position the basin beside the hot line rather than directly above it.
