How do you remove old rust from the tank walls and floor?
We use high-pressure water spray at around two hundred bar to scrape loose rust and flaking coating. Rust bonded tightly stays, but epoxy encases it and stops spread. We dry the tank with dry air then inspect every spot before coating.
How long does epoxy take to cure in deep, narrow tanks?
Initial cure takes forty-six hours at normal temperature, but in deep tanks still air may add a few extra hours to cure. We leave the tank open to natural ventilation after finishing to speed curing.
