If the tank serves a whole building, do we cut water to all units during welding?
Yes, we cannot weld a tank full of water. We notify the building management two days ahead and cut water for only three hours during welding, cooling and testing.
What if sediment inside the tank sticks to the weld seams?
Sediment stops the weld from bonding properly. We drain the tank fully, open its top and wash the seams with strong water, scrape them with a brass brush before welding starts.
