Fibreglass requires a patch of reformed fibre and resin bonded by both heat and chemistry, while plastic is welded with thermal solvent only. Fibreglass is stronger but needs longer drying and testing time.
If the crack is on the main seam line of the tank, can it be repaired or must it be replaced?
