Can we build the tank directly on basalt bedrock?
Yes, but we first smooth the rock with sand and cement to make an even base. Then we pour concrete at least 20 cm thick over that prepared surface.
What if we hit a large rock while digging?
We stop and assess the site and discuss options with the owner. Either we shift the tank location aside, break the rock with specialized equipment, or choose a shallower depth.
