Why does hot water take so long to reach a distant bathroom?
Because the cold water already in the pipes must come out first. Long cold pipes cool hot water as it travels. We insulate pipes with thick foam sleeve and fit a mixing valve near the heater to maintain pressure.
Do old pipes need replacing when we install a new heater?
Not always. If the pipes are sound copper or galvanised steel, they can stay. But we pressure-test them first and check for leaks. If we see internal rust or weakness, we replace only the damaged section.
