Does cesspit sealing stop sewage smell from rising to the surface?
The sealant stops seepage through walls and base but does not block gases rising from inside the pit. To stop odour completely you need a vent pipe in the inlet line before the cesspit.
How long does cement sealant take to cure before the pit is used again?
Cement sealant needs seven to ten days to fully cure in Wafra's dry climate. On very hot days we may spray the surface during early days to prevent rapid cracking.
