Must hot and cold supply lines be the same diameter?
Not necessarily. We calculate expected hot water flow from the heater and size the hot line accordingly. The cold line may be larger if initial tank pressure is high.
How do we test that the drain will not clog after roughing-in?
We fill every basin and tap with water then open the drain at once and watch the speed. Water must drain in under 20 seconds. We repeat the test at full pressure from the supply line.
