We calculate the waste fall from the bathroom to the stack entry and raise the pipes slightly to clear concrete supports. If space is extremely tight, we choose 75 mm PVC instead of 100 mm to maintain the proper gradient.
Can we run hot and cold in a single sheath to save space?
No, the lines must be separate to prevent heat loss from the hot water and avoid back-pressure effects. We run them side by side with thermal insulation on the hot line only.
