Can PEX be laid under existing old flooring without lifting tiles?
Only if the crawlspace below is deep enough. We inspect the gap first, and if it is less than 10 cm floor lifting is needed. If deeper, we can feed tubing carefully without tile disturbance.
Is PEX harmed if someone walks on it during installation?
A normal footstep does no harm because the tube is highly flexible, but repeated heavy pressure or dropped tools may permanently distort the run. We protect tubing with timber boards or tape over high-traffic zones.
