Does the jacuzzi need its own drain or can it use the existing floor trap?
If the existing trap is only 100 mm it is too small, because a jacuzzi needs 150 mm minimum during rapid drainage. We either raise the unit or run a second waste line to the same trap.
Should hot supply pipes under the tile be insulated?
Yes, because heat loss through exposed metal pipework drops water temperature before it reaches the pump. We wrap pipes in 13 mm foam insulation before the tile is fixed.
