Can a fibreglass tank be welded while still bolted to its roof frame?
No, because tight supports prevent heat from spreading evenly. We remove all bolts, carefully lift the tank with extra hands, place it on a stable base and then begin welding.
Is welding the lid different from welding the body?
Yes, the lid is thinner and more fragile and may warp under heat. We use lower temperature and slower welding speed, testing it under low water pressure first.
