Why do flanges leak so often?
Flanges expand and contract daily with temperature swings, loosening metal bolts. The original weld may be shallow, so we remove the bolt, clean the thread fully and reweld deeper.
Should old pipes be replaced when we weld the tank?
Not unless the pipes are weak and the leak is tank-only. But if we spot pipe weakness we suggest replacing both together to avoid a new problem next week.
