How do you tell if the crack is in the fibreglass or in the weld seam itself?
We fill the tank and watch from outside where the leak emerges. A fibreglass wall crack seeps from a sharp point, but a failed weld leaves a wet line along the entire joint.
Can we weld an internal tank crack without draining it completely?
Yes, but we drain the water from at least one square metre around the crack. Moisture and standing water prevent good welding, so we dry the surface with heat before starting.
